Rain Hat

When I was a little girl, my grandmother did not like to leave the house without a hat. On rainy days she would cover her hair with a transparent rain hat that tied under her chin with a bright pink ribbon. As an adult I have looked and looked for a rain hat like that, and having never found one of the appropriate character and quality I decided to make my own. After experimenting with several configurations, I think I have come up with the perfect rain hat, one that even my grandmother would approve of; Betty Jane's Rain Hat.
The hat is made of a lightweight clear vinyl that is sturdy enough to maintain its shape, but soft enough to fold up for storage. Pattern includes instructions for a coordinating cotton drawstring bag for storing your hat.
This hat will fit most people with a 21"-23" head size. Pattern includes instructions for a coordinating storage bag.
